How the Franchise Process Works

Overview

Our franchise process is structured to help both parties evaluate alignment and guide you through the steps toward becoming an Abu Omar Halal franchise partner.

Step 1 – Franchise Inquiry Form

Complete and submit the online Franchise Inquiry Form to provide background information about your experience, financial qualifications, and preferred market. Once received, our team will review your inquiry and contact you to schedule an introductory call.

Step 2 – Introductory Conference Phone or Web Meeting

During this initial meeting, we will introduce you to the Abu Omar Halal brand, review available franchise formats, and discuss your goals, timeline, and market of interest. This is an opportunity for both parties to evaluate alignment and next steps.

Step 3 – Franchise Presentation

Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a detailed Franchise Presentation. This presentation provides an in-depth overview of our business model, support systems, brand positioning, and growth strategy.

Step 4 – Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) Review

Following the presentation, we provide the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) in accordance with federal and state regulations. This document outlines all legal, financial, and operational details of the franchise offering. You will have time to review the document and consult with advisors.

Step 5 – Pre-Qualification for Franchise Funding (If Applicable)

If financing is required, we will assist in guiding you through available funding options and pre-qualification steps.

Step 6 – Franchise Discovery Day

Approved candidates will be invited to participate in a Franchise Discovery Day experience. This may include meeting our leadership team, reviewing operations in more detail, and gaining a deeper understanding of the Abu Omar Halal system.

Step 7 – Franchise Application & Award of Franchise

Upon mutual agreement to move forward, the final franchise application will be completed. Once approved and agreements are signed, we officially award the franchise and begin the onboarding process.

Overview

Our franchise process is structured to help both parties evaluate fit and prepare you for a successful opening. The steps below summarize a typical journey from initial inquiry to grand opening.

Step 1 – Submit Inquiry

Start by completing our online franchise inquiry form. Tell us about your background, financial resources, preferred market, and whether you are interested in a restaurant, a food truck, or both.

Once we receive your inquiry, our franchise development team reviews it and contacts you to schedule an introductory call.

Step 2 – Introductory Call & Brand Discovery

During your introductory call, we:

  • Share more detail about the Abu Omar Halal brand, concept, and operating system
  • Discuss your goals, timing, and market of interest
  • Answer high‑level questions about formats, investment categories, and support

If we mutually agree to move forward, we invite you to complete the full franchise application.

Step 3 – Application & Qualification Review

You will complete a full application so we can better understand your experience, financial qualifications, and market. We may request supporting documentation and conduct background and financial checks as part of our standard process. After reviewing your application, we will let you know whether you are approved to move to the next stage.

Step 4 – Brand Deep Dive / Discovery Day

Qualified candidates are invited to take a deeper look at the brand through a Discovery Day or similar experience, which may include:

  • Visiting existing Abu Omar Halal locations
  • Meeting members of our leadership, operations, and training team
  • Reviewing our operating philosophy, systems, and support in more depth

This is also your opportunity to ask detailed questions, understand our culture, and evaluate whether Abu Omar Halal is the right fit for you.

Step 5 – Franchise Agreement & Onboarding

If both parties wish to proceed, we will provide you with our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and franchise agreement in accordance with applicable laws. You’ll have time to review these documents, consult with advisors, and ask questions. Upon signing the franchise agreement and paying the initial franchise fee, we begin the onboarding process and move into site selection or food truck planning.

Step 6 – Site Selection & Development

For restaurants, you will typically work with our approved master real estate broker to identify potential sites. We review proposed locations, market research, and lease terms; our approval is required before you sign a lease. We aim to provide feedback within approximately seven days of your site submission.

For food trucks, you are primarily responsible for identifying a permanent operating location and any required storage or commissary arrangements, with our review and approval according to our criteria.

Step 7 – Training & Pre‑Opening Execution

During construction or truck build‑out, you’ll complete initial training, hire and train your team, place initial inventory orders, and execute your pre‑opening marketing plan. We provide opening checklists, “countdown to opening” tasks, and guidance on scheduling your pre‑opening practice run, soft opening, and grand opening.

Step 8 – Grand Opening & First 90 Days

Your grand opening is a key milestone. Our team provides on‑site support around opening to help ensure your operations, food quality, and guest service meet Abu Omar Halal standards. We also work with you to monitor performance and refine staffing, ordering, and marketing during the first 90 days—critical for building momentum.
